Minutes of 20/10/06 were accepted as a correct record – GJF was reminded that the minutes must be distributed this time.

Chairman’s report – no chairman present.

Treasurer’s report – the bottom line looks like a loss but we have £25 worth of Tshirts in stock.

Correction to the Tshirt list – Raj was down but in fact it was SD’s second t shirt

Membership – there was discussion around numbers and limiting this and only accepting players of a particular standard. Peg Board is to be used when busy. There is an issue of a lack of participation by some. It was hoped that most would be willing to improve their game. Committed people are what’s needed. It was agreed that people must not arrange their own games to the detriment of others. Membership must be paid promptly. Cap the membership at 35.

Discussion around the membership fee – it was Agreed £10 & £10 annual fee

It was noted that the usual venue would be closed from April to October and the possibility of going to the EIS or other venues was discussed. GJF to investigate.

Peter mentioned Graham’s like of custard creams and Steve asked if the costs of refreshments for matches could be meet. It was agreed individual’s costs would be looked at if it became a burden.

Men’s Team Captain Report – Finished mid-table last year but only 3 wins. There is a problem with numbers able to play. Others to be asked.

Combined Team’s Captain – A lot of hunting for players – particularly the women. Finished 4th out of 6. Again, this year will still be a problem.

Social Secretary – Not present but apologies given.
