Broomgrove Badminton Club

A social badminton club in Sheffield

About

Ex-Broomgrover, Paul Killick, returns for one night on 26/8/11

Broomgrove Badminton Club is one of the oldest clubs in Sheffield, previously named Sheffield Hallam Staff Badminton Club. While we still enjoy very close links with the University, the club is open to the general public.

There is a very friendly atmosphere on club nights, which are usually followed by a few drinks in one of the local pubs. We also enjoy regular social events organised by our social secretaries.

At the club there are four competitive teams - Mens 1, Mens 2, Women’s and Combined – playing in the local badminton leagues.  To see when they are playing, visit the club calendar, or check out the results page.

If you are interested in joining the club, please contact our club secretary to see if there are available places.  You can find more information about the playing times, location and costs on this website .

Broomgrove’s World Record Breaker!

Ben, the captain of our second team, recently broke the Guinness world record for the longest doubles badminton match recently – over 29 hours.  Well done to him and all involved from Sheffield Forum Badminton club!
